The Molong Rugby Club Introduces the Maggies
2024 marks a significant milestone in the history of the Molong Rugby Club as we proudly announce the establishment of our first women's rugby team - the Maggies. GAME DAYS
The women play in the Central West Rugby Union Westfund North Group. All games are held Saturdays kicking off at 12.45pm, travelling to Orange, Yeoval, Wellington, Mudgee & Parkes.
TRAINING
Training is held on Tuesday’s and Thursday evenings from 6.30pm.

Coach Pete 'Haynesy' Haynes & Assistant Coach Em Gobourg: Leading the Maggies with Passion and Purpose
Pete 'Haynesy' Haynes, a familiar face among the Magpies, has returned after two decades to lead the team from the sidelines. Transitioning from player and captain to coach, Pete may be new to the coaching realm, but his boundless enthusiasm and unwavering patience are qualities that shine through in his approach to the role. His dedication to the team’s growth and success is evident in every practice and game.
Assisting Pete is Em Gobourg, a seasoned player who has traded her captaincy with the Emus to join the Maggies as the assistant coach. Em's decision to focus on empowering and nurturing the women players in her community showcases her commitment to fostering talent and ensuring the team thrives both on and off the field. With her wealth of experience and dedication, Em is instrumental in shaping the Maggies into a formidable force.
Together, Pete 'Haynesy' Haynes and Em Gobourg form a dynamic coaching duo, each bringing their unique strengths and perspective to the team. With their shared passion for the sport and unwavering dedication to player development, the Maggies are set to soar to new heights under their guidance.
